Kindergarten is a full-day program that runs from 8:25 - 3:00. The morning sessions concentrates on Religion, Reading, Math and Phonics. During the afternoon the children have small group instruction as well as Social Studies and Science activities. All activities are hands-on. Children also participate in Music, Phys. Ed., and computer classes.
The Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Maggie Perez.
During the fourth marking period Kindergarten children will be learning about:
Religion: We care about others as Jesus did; we celebrate that Jesus is our friend; we learn about God with our friends.
Reading: Themes: In the Neighborhood and Jobs People Do. Vocabulary: High frequency words.
Phonics: Finish the alphabet. Learn middle and ending sounds
Writing: Practice writing simple sentences.
Math: Measurement; fractions, addition and subtraction.
Social Studies: Agriculture
Science: Recycling and Caring for Earth
Projects: Pajama Party to finish theme Let's Play
