The first grade teacher is Mrs. Jessica Maines.

During this quarter first graders are learning these concepts:

Religion: Celebrate God's forgivenss; Jesus sends the Holy Spirit; we share God's love; we care for the gift of creation.

Math: Adding and subracting two digit numbers, estimation, three addends.

Grammar: Verbs, adjectives to compare.

Writing: Descriptive.

Social Studies: Citizenship, maps .

Science: Spring, growing, health.

Projects: Banana Factory; planting seeds and tracking growth.
